Introduction
The western range is really two ranges in one. You
have the older range which consists of the western town and
accessories and basically featured good and bad cowboys; then you have
the newer range which has soldiers and Indians battling it out. The
older range was definitely very popular and is relatively easy to find
whereas the newer range is much, much harder to come across, most of
the Indian sets are extremely rare. I have learnt that this is because
the Indian sets were not released in America as they were deemed to be
not very politically correct. Fort Dakota was repackaged with two
bandits instead of the Indians for the American Market and the other
Indian sets simply weren't released there. All the western sets are really good fun but I
must admit that I like the Indian ones best, but perhaps that's just
because they are so rare. Below you will find a list of all
the western sets that I have found - If you
know of anything not listed please let me know (address is at the
bottom of the page).
